Demi Lovato is taking their “fresh start” quite literally. The singer erased their entire Instagram page, leaving up only one post featuring a buzz cut. A source told Page Six that Lovato returned from a Utah facility and was “doing well.”
“I no longer support my ‘California sober’ ways,” the singer shared in their Instagram Stories in early December. “Sober sober is the only way to be.”
This “fresh start” also involved another haircut and getting a huge spider tattooed on their head…

Lovato quietly completed another rehab stint in December, three years after a near-fatal overdose. However, is deleting your Instagram truly a fresh start? We’re happy that Lovato completed the rehab, but there are still questions. What does the spider mean to them? Why on the side of their head? What’s the symbolism? Will Lovato keep that side of their head shaved for the tattoo?
That wasn’t all for the new and transformed Lovato though, as they also showed off a brand-new industrial ear piercing by Daniel Ruiz to complete the look.
As for the one image on their Instagram, it was uploaded on January 1st (very fitting for a “fresh start”) and features their buzzed head with a caption that is only a few hearts.
