Nothing like kicking off the week with some great moves and potentially boneheaded, and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are set to dive in.
We’re set with some popcorn for this one as Genoa City looks like it’s going to be an interesting week and the powder keg is going to have a short fuse.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 17: Victor scores
After he retired, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) was approached by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about coming to work for him instead, and it looks like Michael’s going to take him up on the offer.
They worked together before with some positive results, and Victor will task him with protecting the Newman Legacy, or rather his legacy.
It’s a task Michael will be up for, and since he’s worked with Victor before he’ll be ready for any Newman infighting he’ll encounter.
Good thing too, since we think Victor hired him particularly for the upcoming war between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 17: Adam doesn’t trust Victoria
This one wasn’t hard to predict as Victor taking over Newman Media undermined any faith Adam felt, and now he’s going to inquire about Victoria’s reasons.
Adam won’t believe her as it’s obviously an attack on him, and when he learns she lied to Victor it’ll only make him less likely to trust anything she or Victor says.
This scene should set off their war. If not, it’ll be close and Victor knows it.
Maybe one of these days he’ll learn to stop playing favorites and pitting them against each other?
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For January 17: Devon opens up
And here is where things will take a really interesting turn. Now that all of the parties are together, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will share his concerns about Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) being ready to take care of Dominic.
He has a valid point and everyone knows it, but this will create further stress than is needed. But it could also be the kick in the pants Chance needs to get help. Especially after Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) finally saw the light.
The question now is will either of them admit it? Both will know Devon’s right, though he’s going about this the wrong way, but will Abby or Chance agree verbally and crush the hopes of the other?
