Talk show host Oprah Winfrey has called out Gayle King after the latter did not attend a celebration at her home.

The apparent reason why Gayle had failed to attend was due to the fact that she did not comply with Oprah’s Covid-19 rules when it came to inviting guests at her house. As such, failure to do so meant that it was not possible for Gayle to attend.
According to reports, Oprah demanded that any guests who attended should be “vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined” before making their way to her home in California.
It is not clear which requirement Gayle had failed to adhere by, but her presence was missed nonetheless. And by the looks of it, she missed a very important celebration.
In a post to her fans on Facebook, Oprah shared a video of herself dancing alongside various other friends.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Everyone who is spending Christmas at my house has to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined.
“We had to throw a welcome celebration for Baby Luca, who none of us had met yet! We missed his grandma Gayle King but she’ll join us once she completes the policy!”
Nevertheless, Gayle was eventually able to meet Oprah which would suggest that everything turned out fine in the end.
And given that Gayle’s daughter Kirby Bumpus had gotten married at Oprah’s home in 2020, it is no surprise that she wanted to be there when they had a baby. This is especially true, since Gayle had spoken about how she wanted to be a grandma for so long.
In a prior interview, she had remarked: “I wanted to be a grandmother for a long time, and it’s really something when you see your own child become a parent. I am so nuts about him.”
With Oprah taking Covid-19 so seriously, it does beg the question of whether other celebrities will follow suit. With that in mind, it does not look like the pandemic will be going away anytime soon. Time will tell.
