‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal there’s something special on the way. On December 16, Peacock will debut A Very Salem Christmas. And, yes, we can’t wait. There is something special about these Christmas movies that have gotten so popular in recent years. However, this one is promising a more unique turn. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: A Very Salem Christmas plot
So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate this is basically going to be a fantasy thing. The promo video includes an official plot description. It reads, “Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas follows Will Horton (Chandler Massey) as he writes a screenplay before his Christmas Eve deadline.
Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns you’ll never see coming.”
The promo details a bit about this, as Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) helps Will with the project. We loved seeing him layout one of the rules for such projects—that they always take place in quaint towns with lots of mom and pop shops.
He also advises Will that these stories are also about love, which Will definitely agrees with. He ups the ante by saying there’s no good love story without twists and turns. And are they ever going to have a few!
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The twists
First off, we recently taped a movie we like where Melissa Joan Hart runs a resort. In A Very Salem Christmas, it looks like John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is the owner of such a place. But it’s not Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) by his side. Nope. Instead, he’ll be married to Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson).
In other twists, we’ll see EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) not with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) in Will’s fantasy world. Instead, he’ll be married to Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). And it looks like their pair has a daughter. Kind of fitting, we guess, as it was pointed out EJ wasn’t the love of Sami’s life in Will’s other script.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The villain?
Of course, every good Christmas movie needs someone who’s the bad guy in the whole thing. Fittingly, he’s put Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) in that role. After all, she did pull that scam with Horton Square. And if he found out about her failed wedding to Abe Carver (James Reynolds), he’d have more motivation to cast her in that part.
