Jake Paul Admits That He Has Speech Problems And Memory Loss Because Of Boxing

Jake, for his part, is known for being a YouTube star. Him and his brother Logan Paul, however, have decided to take things seriously by pursuing a career in boxing.

Although that is commendable, given the fact that unlike other people they took up the sport at a later age, the very fact of the matter is that it can have a damaging impact on one’s health. And so it showed, as Jake admitted that he has already started to feel the impact of the sport.

During an interview on the “In Depth With Graham Besinger,” show he said: “I notice it in conversations with like, with my girlfriend or friends, like, not remembering something that I should be able to remember that happened a couple days ago.”

Memory loss is one of the common symptoms that boxers can experience at the latter stages of their career. And yet, for Jake, the worrying matter is that he is only 24-years-old.

Not only that, but his professional boxing record is hardly anything to write home about. While he may claim that he is unbeaten in the sport, as shown by the fact that he has a 4-0 record streak, it is important to bear in mind that he has not boxed against a professional boxer of any sort.

Nevertheless, he has continued to defy the critics as shown by his latest victory. In the highly anticipated rematch, Jake knocked out Tyron Woodley with a brutal shot in the 6th round.

What was more impressive was the fact that Tyron had been a late replacement for Tommy Fury, who had pulled out of the fight due to a rib injury. But the long-term effects of this, despite the victories, could be catastrophic.

He added: “Sometimes in my speech, where like every hundredth or two hundredth word, I’ll mess up or, like, slur, which I didn’t do that before.”

Hopefully, for Jake’s sake, things do not turn out bad for him in the long run. It would only go on to spoil his achievements. If you enjoyed reading this article, then please make sure you check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
