The #FreeBritney movement has been full of news lately. From the victory she scored by hiring her own lawyer to the upcoming hearing about security for her co-conservator, there’s been a lot to talk about. Not to mention all the rumors out there. Some of which are shaping up to be true. At least, according to Britney herself. Let’s take a look at the shift in her social media and how she’s finally speaking her mind.
#FreeBritney: The good and the bad
First, there was good and bad news for #FreeBritney advocates. Yes, she got to hire her own lawyer now. And he seems like a serious force that won’t play when it comes to getting Britney what she wants. However, Jamie Spears has still not resigned or been taken off the conservatorship as of yet. And she has to wait until September for her next hearing. Still, it seems Britney Spears is empowered and full of hope.
#FreeBritney: Spiritual journey
First, it seems like Britney’s been going through a spiritual evolution while #FreeBritney was slowly gaining traction in recent months and years. For a while now, fans have questioned whether or not Britney was actually writing the posts on her social media. It might just be true, at least partly. There’s definitely a change in tone in her posts from some older Instagram snaps.
One of the first of those posts featured a caption about the third eye and its importance in our lives. It’s a connection to our intuition, and Britney talked about her experiences with the the third eye. She also mentioned trauma, which can block it, a clear reference to her battle. She also shared tips she uses to open her third eye when it’s blocked.
#FreeBritney: Hints
In another post, we almost get confirmation of something the #FreeBritney movement has been saying lately about her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Specifically, their questioning of her silence through this.
In the caption, Britney wrote, “Verified There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support … there’s nothing worse than that !!!! How dare the people you love the most say anything at all … did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME !!!??? How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE.” It’s a passionate post that definitely seems to be referring to recent events.
#Free Britney: In control
If there’s any doubt over who is writing the posts on that account, there can’t be now. In another posting, Britney seemed to call out two family members. She said, “Verified For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos … look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think!!! I’ve done that for the past 13 years … I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room,” she said.
The singer added, “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!! This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill.”
The singer went on to talk about her belief in fairytales and hope, and how she’d be signing off after that post to read one. We’re glad Britney is apparently able to speak her mind and be real. Hopefully, this is the start of healing and will create positive change in the system she got caught up in.
