NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ DiMera and Xander Cook Address the Massive Elephant in the Room!

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal there’s something people aren’t really talking about in Salem. And, no, we don’t mean the obviously tainted water supply. See, there’s a certain character who’s job performance leaves a lot to be desired of late. However, that changed on Monday in a scene that was a highlight of the day. Let’s see what happened.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Who is it?

We’d be talking about Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth). Despite being a supposedly high-powered lawyer, he’s been coming out on the losing end a lot since we’ve been watching. In fact, we think he did #Cin a favor by refusing to represent either of them. Had Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) stayed without her memory, he probably would’ve botched her efforts to free herself of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

And since we can’t see any evidence of Ciara having a job, had they divorced, Ben would probably be paying for the rest of his life. And who knows? He could’ve ended up with some clause that would keep them away forever. But he did refuse, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal they’re living happily-ever-after. For now. This is Salem, after all.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The moment

That’s what made today so much fun. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) was in the Salem PD Monday, charged with his supposed part of a drug operation. That is, until EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) showed up. He reminded Xander he’s a lawyer and wants to represent Xander.

There’s just one catch—he wants the million Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) paid Xander back. Xander, of course, balked. With a million bucks, he could get himself a lawyer. Maybe Justin. This is where things got fun.

See, EJ pointed out that not only is he a lawyer, but he’s very connected. One call, and this will likely go away. At worst, Xander would get a slap on the wrist. Besides, he pointed out, when was the last time Justin won a case? We lost it. It was a great like, and Xander’s response was even better: That’s fair point. He then added Justin lost the custody case to EJ’s ex, who isn’t even a lawyer. Awesome meta moment that was a bonding thing for the two.

By the way, he ultimately agree to EJ’s terms. He did, however, also work out at least one extra perk. As EJ is the co-head of DiMera, he’s going to make Basic Black re-hire Xander.

It’ll be a bonus for EJ, and we got a kick out of him saying he’d love doing something that annoys Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). It showed us a side to EJ that isn’t just dark or completely pompous. Disclaimer: We didn’t start watching until EJ was already “dead”, so this is the first time we’re seeing him in action.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Can he break the streak?

But what about Justin in all this? Well, with a wedding to plan and a new face popping up soon, we have a feeling he’ll have other stuff on his mind besides work. So, we honestly don’t see Justin turning his bad record around any time soon. Unless, of course, his relationship with Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) crashes and burns so hard, he’ll throw himself 100% back into the game to distract himself.
