‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: John McCook’s (Eric Forrester) Time To Shine!

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that soap great, John McCook has been shelved for far too long on the soap. Sure, he’s been present, but other than a gruff word here and encouraging word there, it’s like McCook has had his wings clipped and is sitting in a cage not unlike the one Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is currently being held in.

Chin up, Thomas someone has got to notice you’re missing, someday.

Last week Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) secret came out, she had an affair with Abs McGee, AKA Carter Walton (Lawrence St Victor). While Quarter was a BIG hit with fans, on Friday we got to see Eric’s reaction when he found out his wife cheated on him. And didn’t the crushed look on Eric’s face just kick us all in the feels?

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: John McCook’s (Eric Forrester) time to shine.

It wasn’t long, the camera soon panned to the guilt stricken faces of Quarter, but in that short moment we legit saw Eric’s face crumble. It’s a sentence authors use time and again, but the shock, then anger, then intense pain that flashed across Eric’s face was just a preview of John’s acting chops that we will finally get to experience again next week.

If Eric nearly dumped Quin when she messed with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) marriage, we can’t imagine he’s going to take too kindly to his own being destroyed.

I, for one, am going to pop the corn this week and watch a soap legend show us why he has been named such as he eviscerates his (soon ex?) wife…and that dang portrait too.

Bring back the real matriarch’s portrait, please! Justice for Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).

We don’t expect Carter is going to get away unscathed from this, either. Spoilers say Eric will have a ‘request’ to make of the COO. Resign from his job? Get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness? Get out of town and follow Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) to Paris aka Fantasy Island?

All we know is we cannot wait for McCook to stretch those wings. Any actor worth his salt is able to play angry, but McCook is certain to bring his decades of acting skills to the table and I have a feeling we’re all going to want to wrap up ole “Honey Bear” and deliver him straight to Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) to help him get over this treachery.

Watch McCook wow us weekdays on CBS on The Bold and the Beautiful.
