Justin Timberlake has responded after former boy band member Lance Bass accused the singer of not responding to his text messages in time.
Justin Timberlake Defends Himself For Replying Late To Lance Bass’ Text Messages
The duo, for their part, have been very close to each other despite their departure from Nsync. But given that the pandemic has caused disruption for many people around the world, coupled with the fact that Justin is a parent, text messages may not be on the top of his priorities.
And yet, that did not stop Lance from making sure that he let the fans know how he felt about it all. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Lance shared a video of himself dancing to the background of hip hop dancers. In the video, it said the words, ‘“When JT finally responds to my text.” The post was captioned by the following comments: “It’s the little things.”
So how did Justin take it all? Well, rather well as he saw the funny side of it all. In his defence, he did state that by being a parent, he does not have as much time as he may have had previously. This is especially true given that he recently welcomed the arrival of his son (Phineas) this year. He replied: “Once those babies show up… your unavailability will all make sense, bro.”
Justin’s response is in reference to the fact that Lance will also be expecting his newborns this year. Lance is currently with his husband Michael Turchin ever since they decided to get married in 2014. As their relationship continued to go on strong, they realised that they were ready to have a family.
Should everything go as planned, they will have some newborn twins via a surrogacy. As we can see, Justin’s comments were well-intended and nothing malicious.
Their friendship has remained, and Lance’s prior comments have confirmed as much: “I mean, we’ve always been close. We pretty much all talk weekly. And we’ve done that, you know, our whole lives. This pandemic, it definitely made us realize that the friendships that you cherish the most.” It is safe to say that Justin will probably have to respond a lot quicker next time.
