‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) has been getting a lot of attention on GH lately. Since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) supposedly died, Carly’s had to step up to maintain the family business, and she’s taken it a step further.
Let’s see what we see ahead, a few thoughts Wright shared in an interview about her 30 years on screen, and the Thursday event fans will want to catch.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Crazy times
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal there are crazy times ahead in Port Charles. With the close calls continuing, it’s really only a matter of time before Sonny remembers. And Benard himself hinted that it was going to be explosive when he returns.
We’re already looking forward to the huge mess that will result over the Carly/Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) union. Because we just don’t see Sonny coming back before the pair makes it official. And if Sonny sees them married, he’ll obviously have a huge shock. We’re also thinking mob-related trouble is ahead, too.
The only reason Carly and Jason are marrying is to show a solid union in the organization, as Jason said the other families will expect him to shove her out. Well, we’d assume that when Sonny does return, there will be a lot of expectations there as well.
While we don’t see Sonny going so far as to lash out at/punish Carly and Jason, we do see a lot of conflict ahead between Sonny and the others. He’s going to have to prove that he’s fit physically to run the show, and that he’s not a spineless fool for overlooking the wedding of his “widow” and right hand.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Reflections
Recently, Carly’s portrayer, Wright, celebrated 30 years in the soap world. There have been a couple of interviews before, and another one just happened. In the chat with Digital Journal, she talked about how important the support of those on-set and behind camera was to her career.
While chatting about her career, she listed all the reasons she loves playing Carly, as well as the experience of winning an Emmy.
What most impressed us was when she spoke about something that can relate to any industry. She pointed out how crucial it is to love what you’re doing, especially in something like acting. She mentioned only 1% of the union actually works, and that it’s a long road to that big break.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Locher Room
If you’re like us, you’ve gotten familiar with the Locher Room during the production shutdown. The host, who’s been part of the soap industry, has hosted show reunions as well as interviews with people like Susan Lucci (Erica Kane, All My Children).
On Thursday, July 22nd, Wright will once more join the show as she continues to celebrate her big Daytime anniversary. She mentioned in the Digital Journal piece that Alan Locher was her publicist on Guiding Light and that fans will be able to send in questions as well.
