Gayle King is not bringing out her crock pot if you haven’t had the shot. The CBS This Morning news anchor says that she plans on banning all of her unvaccinated family members from her holiday gatherings.
Seeing how she’s kept in doors for most of this past year and has been doing everything she can to keep safe, King is certainly not taking any chances, and especially not with any of her unvaccinated family members.
During an interview with Dr. Fauci this week, the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told King that the highly contagious Delta variant is one the rise across the country.
Gayle King Has Some Harsh Words For Her Unvaccinated Family Members
That’s when King shared that she doesn’t plan on having her entire family celebrate with her during the upcoming holiday season – at least not those who haven’t gotten their vaccination shots yet.
“I don’t know how many more times you can say to people, ‘Listen, it will save your life,'” she told Dr. Fauci. “I have this problem with some members of my own family, which I’m now going to ban for Thanksgiving vacation. That’s how strongly I’m taking what you’re saying.”
Dr. Fauci also said that people need to do their best to convince vaccinate-hesitant people to get their shots done as soon as possible.
He added, “When we started with the vaccine implementation plan there were large efforts like auditoriums or arenas filled with people getting vaccinated. When you get down to now a core lesser group, you’ve got to go one on one. That’s what the president was talking about… community people to go out there and try and convince people… to go out and get vaccinated. We really need to get more people vaccinated.”
