On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya have been house hunting like many other couples on the show. Now that they have found a home that they like, Jovi was very disappointed in the fact that their new house is in the middle of nowhere.
Jovi loves to party and hang out with his friends, but now that he is a father and husband, things have to change for him in order to keep his marriage afloat.
90 Day Fiancé: Yara’s Feelings About New Orleans
From day one, Yara has not liked living in New Orleans. She immediately came in and hated the city and thought that it was dirty and everyone was a drunk. She told cameras that someone even puked in her shoes at one point.
90 Day Fiancé: Jovi Dufren and New Home
This is only one of the reasons that she knew she had to move. She wanted to raise her family in a house that was in the middle of nowhere, but Jovi wants to stay in the city where he can party. This won’t fly with Yara.
The lease on Jovi’s apartment was over and Yara knew this was the universe telling them that they needed to look for a new place. Jovi had no idea that it would be so far out of the city though. Yara basically gave him no choice when it came down to where she wanted to live. Jovi was very uncomfortable about this.
Yara told cameras that all Jovi does is work and she has to basically live alone. She wanted to live out in the suburbs because she needs to know that she is safe and not in the city. The city clearly isn’t for her, but Jovi feels like her choice is not the best.
The couple looked for about four months and while Jovi was out working, Yara found the perfect house with the help of his parents. When they picked him up at the airport, they wanted to share the good news, but he didn’t feel like it was good news at all.
Jovi was less than thrilled about the new home. All he did was complain about it and he told Yara, “It’s ok.” Clearly his first impression of the house was not a good one, but she wants to stay there and raise their daughter together. It fits their budget and is family friendly, unlike the old apartment in the city.
