‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is out falling in love and moving in with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), it’s apparently not okay for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to move on her with life.
This is one of my biggest pet peeves in real life as well. People always want what they can’t have, and the second that Billy can’t “have” Victoria, he suddenly has feelings for her again and cares about her getting hurt under the guise of “protecting the kids.”
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) Still Have Feelings For Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)?
Victoria is so scrutinized that the moment she made a last-minute decision to go to New York with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), she would be grilled on it by everyone in her life forever. Her father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), her mother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are playing the “concerned friend/family member’ and trying to protect Victoria from getting hurt.
Last I checked, she’s a grown-ass woman and can do as she pleases. No, this isn’t some woman-power thing either, if it were the other way around, Billy is a grown-ass man and can do what he wants. Just leave each other alone, move on and leave it. They have the children together, do what you can for them, but leave whatever feelings you have in the past. Billy didn’t have a problem moving on with Lily, let Victoria move on with Ashland if she wants. Let’s move on!
