Heather Gay has given Jennifer Shah the benefit of the doubt and backed the housewife to bounce back amid her legal battle.

Jennifer, for her part, was arrested on suspicion of telemarketing fraud which all played out during the filming of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Although Jennifer could face the prospect of 30 years in prison if she were found to be guilty, Heather has continued to stand by her in the face of adversity.
During an interview on the ‘So Bad It’s Good With Ryan Bailey’ podcast, she remarked: “I think that good people can do bad things, and she is claiming she is innocent. Even if she gets … wrongfully convicted, she can…redeem herself.” Despite Heather’s optimism, things do look bleak. Jennifer has already faced major backlash from the public.
Her family recently set up a fundraiser on GoFundme in order to help pay for her legal expenses. However, after several negative comments on social media, the family decided to take it down. This has been made worse by the revelations that Jennifer’s assets have been frozen, which includes the ban on her using her credit cards.
All this does seem to be extreme, if she were to be innocent and yet, Heather continues to see the good in people. She added: “I guess I am passionate about second chances because … when I got divorced, I didn’t have a second chance.” And this whole ordeal has left Heather feeling torn, which is understandable. First of all, the duo have been very close friends as shown on the show.
Although they have had their ups and downs, Heather was the first one to speak out in the aftermath of Jennifer’s arrest. And her absence has left Heather feeling down. She continued: “She is a star. When you are in the room with her, she is magnetic and charismatic.” With a trial set to take place in October, we are no closer to learning the truth about whether or not Jennifer is going to be sent down.
