It looks like Princess Diana was eyeing her own place to call home in Malibu long before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to pull the plug on their relationship with the royal family and make the move to California herself.
There’s a new report that suggests the late Princess Di would have been in complete favor of Princess Harry’s California move, as she wanted to do the same before her untimely death in 1997. Here’ what you need to know.
According to Princess Diana’s voice coach Stewart Pearce, he says that Di loved her sons Prince William and Prince Harry so passionately that she would have approved of Harry’s move to California without a doubt.
Princess Diana Wanted To Move To California Too
He even told Us Weekly in a new interview that the Princess of Wales was eyeing a property in Malibu, and that she told some of her closest friends and confidant that she was looking to move away from London.
“She was talking about buying a property in Malibu [saying] that would be ‘really great’ for the boys to have freedom so that they could surf,” Stewart Pearce explained.
“Because they’re both very sporty, you know, but they could surf, they could rollerblade, they could Frisbee. So, she’d be in complete favor [of Harry’s move].”
Pearce also said that Diana would have been proud of the way that Prince Harry has been speaking so passionately about mental health issues.
“I feel, as you know, that [the couple’s] voice is a voice of liberation and they’re doing exactly what Diana would’ve wanted them to do,” Pearce told the outlet.
“There’s still a lot of upset over Harry’s interaction [during his CBS tell-all], moving into mindfulness and all the mental health issues that he’s exposing. There’s a lot in the contempt in the collective shatter that needs to be expressed. Our work is all about expressing it. So we move kneeling.”
