NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Taming Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes)!

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal the writing has been on fire lately. Especially when it comes to bringing the funny moments. And a couple recent laughs came at the expense of Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

It’s been joked about here before that she’s the evil of Salem, and we’ve tended to agree. However, we’ve found ourselves siding with her more often than not recently. Not sure how we feel about that one!

However, what we do know is, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) has proven to be someone for Julie to look out for. Let’s take a look at what happened, how we think this is a great partnership, and the great random moment on Monday.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Taming Julie

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Chanel DuPree (Precious Way) had a sure-fire way to make this bakery idea of hers a success. She wanted to use that special Horton doughnut recipe in Sweet Bits. She brought this up along with wanting Allie to be her business partner. There was one obstacle, though—Julie.

No one can hold a grudge (or judge) quite like Julie. So, it took about two seconds after meeting Chanel to point out how she was the one who wanted to scam Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) into putting her up in South Africa.

And then there was the brief marriage to Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). She was not going to have her special family recipe associated with a scandal. This is where great writing comes in.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Highlight

A highlight of the week was how Allie handled this situation. She pointed out that sacred, scandal-free recipe was already tainted by an added ingredient that accidently ended up with Julie’s book club. Watching Hayes’ expression when Allie brought that up was classic.

As was her indignant, “How’d you know about that?” This was made better by Allie’s casual response: “We’re cousins. We talk.” You never saw Julie back down so fast. She’d promised to deal with Allie later, but we’re not worried. We think this girl can hold her own.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Power duo

As for this business partnership, we love it. It really should be a winning prospect if Chanel is as good a baker as Allie says. Add in a recipe from one of the town’s most loved and missed citizens, and it really can’t miss. Well, assuming whatever mess Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) destroy this operation before it can get off the ground.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Random, much?

Finally, we had a couple of great moments between Julie and Xander where she essentially told him he’s getting fat and needs to move out. Well, today, he found out about the drug mule situation and pondered a minute how nice it would be to see Julie go down.

It was such a random thing to say and delivered so brilliantly, it threw us off guard and had us laughing for a while after. Overall, we think the show’s going in a great direction and we hope many more moments like these are ahead.
