NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Dan Feuerriegel talks EJ DiMera

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has returned to Salem with a new face. While we never got to see the other in action, we had a few thoughts on his character recently. But the actor recently opened up about his own take on the character. Let’s see what he thinks about EJ and what he teases is ahead.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chatting DOOL

First of, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal we have only seen this new EJ in action a couple of times. That has been enough for us to get a bit of a negative take on him as a character. However, when the actor spoke about his new role with TV Insider, her had a slightly different point of view.

Feuerriegel doesn’t see EJ as a bad guy, per se. However, he did point out that his DiMera side can come out depending on the situation. And we have a feeling it will really come out to play soon.

Firstly, because of Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash). Jake is the new member of the family, but is now leading the company. While we think that’s a good thing, EJ and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) obviously don’t agree.

They’ll be looking to get rid of him by any means necessary, and we do think they’ll go low to get what they want. Of course, we also think they’re underestimating Jake a lot, so this is going to be quite a conflict ahead.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The tease

During the interview, he was asked about the situation with him, Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo), and Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). He wouldn’t say details about what happens on the show, but he did reveal there will be a love triangle situation. We personally aren’t feeling that, but this is a soap. So, of course, you’ve got to have the love drama.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Who we pick

Getting into this love triangle thing. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Sami has slept with Lucas twice new since her most recent return to Salem. And Lucas kissed her in a recent episode, insisting she should leave EJ and stick with him.

We can totally get on board with that. From the little we read about their history, it doesn’t feel like EJ and Sami have been the most, shall we say, healthy pairing.

And, sure, it’s understandable he’d be moody after what he went through. Still, we got some “I swear, I won’t do it again,” vibes off his apology. And given his unilateral decision to stay is Salem? Well, we see red flags.

By contrast, Lucas strikes us as far more laid-back than EJ. And his interactions with Sami scream old married couple, a level of comfort between them we’re so far not seeing with the alternative.

We also see Lucas as being the one who’ll keep Sami Brady somewhat grounded. Give her a reality check when she’s going off the edge, which she tends to do.

Everyone needs that from time to time, and we just don’t see EJ being that guy. If anything, she might constantly be on that edge over what he might do if he learns about that affair. Doesn’t sound like a nice way to live to us.
