‘Jersey Shore’ fans may be missing Ronnie Magro on the latest installment of Jersey Shore, but they don’t have to miss seeing him in the headlines. Thankfully this time, Ronnie is in the headlines for something positive…we hope.
Ronnie shared the news that he was engaged to Saffire Matos on his social media on Monday. While this should be exciting news, it was met by some cringey emojis by some…likely due to the fact that Saffire had to call 911 on her new fiancé exactly 2 months ago.

At the time Ronnie was charged with intimate partner abuse (which could include physical violence, sexual violence, stalking, or psychological harm by a current or former partner or spouse). Ronnie also had priors- a pending domestic violence case against ex and baby-mama Jen Harley.
Though police saw marks on Saffire that seemed to be a result of physical assault, Ronnie avoided all felony assault charges thanks to Saffire refusing to testify against the reality TV star…pretty much how all good love stories start, right?
Anyhoo-fast forward two months later…
Ronnie posted a photo of his oceanside proposal on his Instagram and promptly (wisely) shut off the comments section.
The photo was captioned with, “I love you. Thank you for sticking by my side through thick and thin! Til death do us part!” along with the hashtag #SheSaidYes!
While some are worried for Saffire’s well-being in the relationship, insiders say Ronnie has been working on himself intensively
“Ronnie has been taking this time to work on himself and his daughter,” a source close to the 35-year-old said. “For him, he felt like this right time. They’re both really happy for this next chapter. His health and happiness are what is most important.”
Safire, herself has assured the public that there is no cause for concern, and Ronnie’s arrest was the result of a misunderstanding, citing a lot of “misleading information floating around out there.”

In a complete coincidental twist of fate, Ronnie’s ex, Jenn Harley, who previous laid domestic assault charges against him, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and her own, matching set of domestic violence charges this weekend!
