“Framing Britney” co-creator comments on Britney Spears’ apology

After her court deposition, Britney Spears took to instagram to apologize to her fans for lying to them and telling them that she was okay when she obviously wasn’t. She said that it was her own pride that prevented her from speaking out and that she didn’t want to risk not being believed, so she kept silent.

Considering how messed up the real story is and how much she has been bullied and broken down by her Father and her team, then it’s not hard to see where she would think that no one would believe her. Mental and emotional abuse have a way of wearing one down into thinking that nothing they want or do is important.

“Framing Britney” co-creator comments on Britney Spears’ apology

Recently, the co-creator of Framing Britney, Liz Day, went on the Today Show to speak out about Britney’s apology to her fans. Framing Britney was the documentary that Spears said that she hadn’t seen the majority of, but it embarassed her and made her cry.

Day thought it was really interesting that Britney would take to instagram and apologize now, and even crack jokes about the whole thing, saying that, “Who doesn’t use instagram to make their life seem better than it really is?”

Day says that it’ll be interesting to see if Britney remains in the driver’s seat of her instagram in the future, or if she continues to defer to her team. She said that it was really powerful that Britney finally addressed the actual #freeBritney movement directly and let them know that all of their hunches were literally not conspiracy theories.

She also said that the fact that Britney has so much public support might just skew the court of public opinion in her favor. Ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, TV personality Andy Cohen, Paris Hilton, and if you watch Tiktok, actor Michael Rapaport have had quite a few things to say in Britney’s favor.

Day commented on the fact that Jamie Spears has literally said that he loves his daughter, but also questioned since Britney’s Dad is making money off the conservatorship if those words are really true because when he signs her up for things, is it really because it’s in her best interest or is it just in best interest of her brand? (i.e. Her ability to make money.)

Day says that now that the judge has heard from Britney herself that the stakes have been raised in the conservatorship case, and indeed we agree. Stay tuned!!!
