‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers find that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) is the classic villain turned good by the love of a good woman.
But now Xander’s love Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) has skipped town in a steamer trunk, the 360o is complete and bad, heartbroken Xander is back… sort of. Portrayer Telfer explains it all, starting with how he felt about Xander’s heartbreak.

“I’m glad they made it funny,” he said of Xander’s adolescent like reaction to being jilted, as opposed to his character staring, forlorn through a window while pining his lost love. “Things felt very much like I did when I was a teenager and had my heart broken, which was grab a bottle of vodka and go to the park!”
While Telfer was sad to say goodbye to screen partner, Godfrey, he expressed his expressed his excitement about the direction of his character.
“I had that very fun escapade with Chanel,” he reminisced which led to the enjoyment of working with his new mother-in-law, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry). Gushing about Harry, Telfer said “She’s just so alive when she acts. They gave me some great scenes with her. I thought we had a really fun dynamic, and I hope I get to do more with her.”
Telfer also enjoys his scenes with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). “Xander and Nicole actually sleeping together is absolutely a terrible thing for Nicole, but it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to Xander!” he exclaimed.
But no matter his turnabout from Good Xander, Telfer doesn’t quite believe he is back to Bad Xander. This is Gray Xander and, as Telfer explains, “This new mix of the two makes him a little bit unpredictable.”
Speaking of unpredictable, the summer sizzle reel dropped by DOOL gave us all a sneak peek into a certain new teased coupling, but Telfer hinted the kiss between Xander and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) may not be what audiences think.
“Xander’s definitely not feeling romantic,” Telfer explained. “He’s sleeping on the couch. He’s unemployed. He’s ostracized from his family and a pariah in town. Everything has fallen apart. He’s at the absolute lowest ebb.”
Hmm…interesting. Looks like we will have to watch Days of Our Lives, weekdays on NBC to see what happens next.
