Chrissy Teigen Makes a Return to Social Media… Sort Of!

Chrissy Teigen has made a return to social media for the first time since her horrifying bullying of Courtney Stodden and other minor celebrities came to light. However, it was not her own account Teigen appeared on.

Teigen’s husband, EGOT winner John Legend posted a lovely photo of the couple’s five-year-old daughter in a red, sparkly tutu on Instagram on Saturday. It was Luna’s first dance recital and, after posting the cute-as-a-button pic of his  daughter, Legend added a family shot of Luna, Teigen and Teigen’s mother, Pepper.

John captioned the photo of the trio: “So proud of our little dancer!”

Though it was the singer’s Instagram feed, and the subject matter was supposed to be little Luna, the comments section soon filled up with remarks about Teigen and the debate over her (sort of) return to social media.

Several fans of the model turned businesswoman were happy to see Teigen’s face back in their feeds with comments like: “Tell Chrissy to come back! We miss her.” and “Nice photo. Also, we miss Chrissy on IG. Being her back pls.”

Others who are still disgusted by Teigen’s horrific tweets and DMs to teenaged Stodden over a span of several years, telling them to kill themself, weren’t so excited about a possible return of Teigen to social media

“No we don’t want her back,” one critic wrote while another piggybacked on a fan’s comment about hoping to see more from Teigen soon, saying, “speak for yourself.”

Though Teigen gave what sounded like a heartfelt public apology and accepted full culpability for her actions, for many it was too little, too late.

Teigen has not made a peep on her social media since mid-May. In a hugely ironic turnabout, Teigen had made a big song and dance about leaving Twitter in March due to social media trolls.

It appears Teigen missed the attention and her hiatus only lasted three weeks. She was back at it in April. That only lasted about four weeks before the scandal broke.

It has now been three weeks since the controversy began. In that time Teigen has taken a hit to her career. She has been removed from all promotions of Safely, her new housecleaning product line she created with Kris Jenner- who is said to be in damage control mode.

Teigen’s kitchenware line has been removed from Target, Macy’s and Bloomingdales and it has just been revealed that Teigen will no longer have a voice-over role in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever season two as was planned.

Do you think Chrissy will be smart enough to stay off social media for awhile yet…do you think she should? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
