As we all know close to three weeks ago at the time fo the filming of Jeffree Star’s latest video, Jeffree and his friend were in a near fatal car accident where his rolls royce hit black ice and flipped three times.
According to Jeffree himself, there was no alcohol nor drugs involved, no one was speeding, it was simply a freak accident caused by black ice on the road that they couldn’t see. It was night time and they were traveling at a reasonable speed.

Jeffree said that the accident happened very quickly, and that one minute he was driving and the next he was surrounded by a sea of airbags in his car. Jeffree got a broken spine from the accident, which is why he was filming in a back brace in this video. (Cue all the comments in the comments section about Jeffree being like Regina George from Mean Girls – they’re not entirely wrong there, but perhaps that’s a little too soon.)
He also said that because of the way his rolls royce was made, with reinforced steel as well as aluminum, that was practically the only reason he and his passenger survived. If they hadn’t had that kind of car frame, plus the airbags surrounding them, then that could have very easily been a fatal accident, in fact it was implied that if his car had flipped a fourth time neither would have survived.
…As indicated by all of the hate that Jeffree Star has recieved online post-accident.
Has Jeffree Star been problematic on a grand scale? Yes. Does he deserve people wishing that the car had flipped a fourth time and permanently cancelled him? No. That’s not okay and that’s a level of hate that is completely undeserved, even for Jeffree Star.
He’s been problematic, but he’s not on the level of say, an evil dictator. His friend Daniel was completely innocent in the matter, a three time cancer survivor who found out after the accident that he has another mass growing inside him, and that was the reason he had to go back to California, along with the massive internal injuries he had sustained.
Jeffree had to go take pictures of his car for insurance purposes, you could tell that he was in an immense amount of pain just from the way he was moving. The car was completely totaled, there was a huge dent in the passenger’s side roof.
He didn’t even have the strength to open the door, he had to have a friend open the door for him so he could take pictures of the interior. The windshield was cracked and scratched all the way across it, he was amazed that it hadn’t shattered (honestly, me too), but the car, though totaled, was at least in one piece.
Jeffree filmed his doctors appointment, he went into detail about what was most difficult for him which is bending over and tying his shoes. The doctor told him was bending put more pressure on the broken part of his spine but that so far he was doing a great job of healing, it was just going to take some time.
The doctor also told Jeffree that he had scoliosis, which Jeffree had not disclosed before but said that the accident actually served to straighten his spine more. He is definitely on the mend and is right on schedule, he did say that he had a new chapter in his life coming up and he had held back in 2021 but he’s ready to reveal now and will do so in the next video.
