This all could have gone down much earlier if it weren’t for the ongoing pandemic that has been Covid-19. In fact, there’s new speculation that suggests Josh Duggar could have been arrested much earlier for possession of child porn if it weren’t for Covid-19.
Federal agents raided Josh’s car dealership back in November of 2019 but he wasn’t arrested until just last week. Here’s what you need to know.
Counting On: Covid-19 Delayed Josh Duggar’s Arrest For Child Porn
The former reality television star has been release on bail until his child pornography trial in July despite the fact that he had more than 200 child porn images on his computer.
If that weren’t enough, the federal agent that raided his car dealership says that some of the material that Josh had was “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve seen.”
But now according to internet blogger Katie Joy of the hit Instagram account Without a Crystal Ball, Josh could have been arrested much earlier if it weren’t for Covid-19.
Citing a source that claims many federal investigations were curtailed amid coronavirus, she wrote, “Josh Duggar’s attorney kept arguing about the length of time he was under investigation- but he seemed to forget that Covid literally hit within months of the raid. Federal investigations halted for a period of time & many investigations and cases got seriously delayed.”
She then added, “But the Duggars don’t believe in Covid so that is probably why they left that out of the motion.”
Many Duggar critics commented on the matter with, “In their mind covid is a hoax, however I bet Josh wasn’t complaining when it bought him basically two years at home. If it hadn’t been for covid he would probably already be doing his sentence now (if found guilty ?) and baby number seven wouldn’t be on the way. Josh has had it good these past months and needs to consider that,” along with, “I was thinking exactly that when you were reading his lawyers response. Covid! But, we all know that the Duggars pretty much had no regard for Covid. And, at this point I think his lawyers are grasping for straws!!”
