‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) has been acting her butt off in some of the latest episodes. Particularly when she had her fake “mental breakdown” in front of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
In the scene, it turns out her character was acting even, and she was actually scheming with Victor to keep herself out of jail and with her son, Connor. The scene got a lot of feedback from fans who loved her acting and thought that she completely sold it!

Fans commented about her performance, “That was a great scene today. Melissa nailed it today.”, “The acting was great! Chelsea…or rather Melissa Claire Egan was terrific. She had me believing! So cool. Victor is a mastermind! The doctor played it well.”, “Good show! She did a great job! I loved it!”, “Chelsea deserves an Academy Award for that performance LOL”, “The best acting I’ve seen on this show since the pandemic. Melissa deserves an award for this”, “Melissa …girl you got down! And the award goes to….you!”, and “That was hilarious. First I felt bad for her but she became very dramatic turning over the table. I just hope Nick does not do anything stupid with Adam.”
Egan’s performance was definitely fantastic and it’ll be interesting to see if she does indeed get nominated for an award. In the meantime, she’s having a baby outside of the show, so it’ll be interesting to see how much we see of her in the next few months while her character is locked away in a mental institution!
