’The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: A complete Change Coming After ‘The Bachelor’.

‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers find that Season 17 should  already be filming, or at least contestants should be isolating alone but together at the filming location. But in this last week of February, a lead and a host haven’t even been chosen to captain what looks to be a rapidly sinking ship.

It was reported in January that The Jasper Park Lodge in Canada, had been entirely booked out for 65 days between Feb. 23 and April 29, 2021. While it was not announced officially that the upcoming season of The Bachelorette would be using the breathtaking location as it’s back-drop to finding ‘love’, leaks online certainly leaned in that direction.

Then came Canada’s stricter lockdown rules to combat the second wave of the pandemic and the American cast and crew were ejected from The Great White North and left scrambling to find another location. Word has now spread that the next season will be filmed at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa about 20 minutes outside of Albuquerque, NM. I guess that means we can all look forward to watching another bunch of profusely sweaty men like we did during Tayshia’s season.

It was also leaked by podcaster and professional spoiler, Reality Steve that during the Women Tell All Special that was filmed only weeks ago and set to air this week, the new Bachelorette was announced. The woman selected to lead the charge for season 17 was fan favorite, Katie Thurston; aka Vibrator Girl, aka, the woman with the most integrity we’ve seen on the franchise since Emily Maynard graced us reality television gobbling peasants with her ethereal presence.

Then the shit hit the fan with The Bachelor contestant, Rachael Kirkconnell, likely Matt James’ final pick. Racism has been the theme of what was supposed to be an historic season with the most women of color cast ever. However, even though the vast majority of contestants identified as BIPOC, the minority white cast received the most airtime.

Word is that Katie is now no longer going to be The Bachelorette. It is unknown if she stepped down voluntarily or the producers rescinded her offer, but it is very likely the role will now go to one of the remaining top 4 ladies from Matt’s season. 3 of the 4 are women of color, the 4th is Rachael. It’s safe to say The Bachelorette will not be Rachael.

Then we have Chris Harrison. Oy, Chris- stuck both feet in his mouth and did the Hokey Pokey- Harrison. After his ill fated interview with Rachel Lindsay defending Kirkconnell, Chris “stepped aside” from the franchise.

How big a step he has taken is unknown, but it doesn’t look as though he will not be the host of the upcoming season- a first in two decades of the franchise of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and its many spin-offs like Bachelor In Paradise, Winter Games and Bachelor Pad. No word has come out as to who will replace the disgraced host and whether it will be for a season or forever.

’The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Hey, I hear Mike Richards is doing a bang-up job on Jeopardy, guys!

It will be a shame to not see Katie as the lead. She was the only woman in the house to stand up to the massive amounts of bullying and toxicity, but, on a ship that looks to be sinking fast, the producers will more than likely throw their best Ace into the fray and hope she, and her selected contestants (maybe some recasting has happened there, too?) can bail the franchise out.

For that, we say, good luck, Bachelorette, whoever you may be!
