Shanna Moakler Does Not Understand Her Children’s Public Condemnation Of Her- ‘It’s Hurtful’
The model, who is the ex-wife of Travis Barker, has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Her kids have struck up a relationship with Travis’ girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, which has come at the expense of them shading Shanna as a mother. And the negative comments have left her feeling the pain. In an interview with Us Weekly, Shanna said: “I’m not really sure why my kids put that out there.
“I’m their mother. I love them. It’s hurtful and heartbreaking to have your kids say that when … clearly, that’s false. It’s a false claim.” This whole debacle started after Shanna’s daughter Alabama publicly shaded her for being an absent mother. It is true to say, however, that the children have a better relationship with Kourtney than Shanna.
But it is unclear why Alabama would blast Shanna, especially since she has been co-parenting with Travis for at least a decade. Alabama, though, had stated things to the contrary. She remarked: “My mom has never completely been in my life. Can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom?” So what would have made Alabama come out with such comments?
Well, according to Shanna, it was simply a case of teenagers getting their own back on their mother. She opened up on a conversation in which Alabama overheard Shanna criticising her inappropriate social media activity. And it seems Alabama has not quite gotten over that yet. Shanna noted: “That really upset her…Teenagers, they do rebel and say things sometimes they don’t mean.
“As a mother … I’ll always be there for my children, no matter what. I love them. I understand that we all have growing pains.” Things have not been helped by the pandemic too. Shanna revealed how her co-parenting has been fraught with major challenges, all of which have been compounded by the Kardashian family.
Her kids have been showered with too much attention and extravagant gifts, which have had negative consequences. Let us hope that they all can work out their differences.
