John Cena Apologizes For Calling Taiwan A Country, Begs Communist China For Forgiveness In Chinese Mandarin Apology Video!

Professional wrestler and star of ‘F9’, John Cena, apologized to his fans in China after he referred to Taiwan as a country will promoting his new film ‘F9’. He joins the long list of celebrities and companies that have apologized to China to try to remain in business.

Taiwan, is a self-ruled democratic island, however, referring to it as a country is often an offensive take to China, where they considered it to be a part of China. Cena apologized for his statements he made in a Taiwanese broadcast where he told the reporter in Mandarin, “Taiwan is the first country that can watch” his new film.

John Cena Apologizes To China For Calling Taiwan A Country

“I made a mistake,” Cena said in his apology video. “Now I have to say one thing which is very, very, very important: I love and respect China and Chinese people. I’m very sorry for my mistakes. Sorry. Sorry. I’m really sorry. You have to understand that I love and respect China and Chinese people.”

Cena has studied Mandarin for years and learned the language through his travels in wrestling, however, even his apology doesn’t seem to be sitting well with the Chinese people who called for it.

The apology feels forced and as if someone had forced him to it. The irony is that he should never have had to apologize in the first place, though Hollywood and most celebrities see China as their big brother and don’t want to upset them in any way.

It’ll be interesting to see where this goes and how much further these celebrities will go. At what point do we call China on their crap?
