‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers reveal we had to eat our words about Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the big meeting. She handled herself like a true boss, although we did point out she likely had some luck in this as well.
At least, when it came to making Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) look bad. Still, there was what she had to do for that meeting that could be the real problem. And how Carly’s choices could ruin everything Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) built. Let’s take a look.

First off, General Hospital spoilers reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) warned her not to try breaking him out. She wouldn’t listen, as she felt it was crucial for him to represent the organization at the meeting of the Five Families. The escape happened, but it left Jason wounded and unable to go. So, Carly had to step up. Unfortunately, she’s left a mess in her wake.

For example, there is video evidence of Brick (Stephen A. Smith), a Sonny associate, driving when Jason escaped. That’s not a good thing for the organization, as not only is Jason on the run, but they have proof of who helped. Which points to Carly being involved as well. But wait! There’s more!

After the escape, Jason needed blood. General Hospital spoilers reveal Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was drafted to do the job, as Carly was at the meeting with other guards. Jason knew as soon as Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) called Spinelli this would be a mess. So, he and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) were long gone before anyone arrived at the hideout. Good, in that Jason didn’t get hauled in. Bad in another way.

We already mentioned they have Brick on camera helping Jason leave GH. Well, two other people associated with Sonny are also on the PCPD radar. Spinelli was brought in because they figured they’d need tech support for the escape, and Spinelli isn’t exactly the stone wall Jason in. So, Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) is currently asking some questions. He’s not the only one.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) tried to help. Instead, she might have made things worse. See, she’d acted like she wants to help Dante bring Jason back safely. What she really did was get Spinelli to tell her where he is and then take off to warn Jason. Dante’s no fool, so he caught on fast.
When we last saw her, Dante had arrived at the hideout at the same time Sam did. He called her out for her lie, then entered the safe house. Jason was already gone, so you know where this is all going. Three people associated with Sonny and Jason are now in a bit of hot water.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesey) is good and all, but this is going to be a lot of overtime for her. And there’s no guarantees. They could finally have proof that could be used against the organization, and Sonny is off somewhere none the wiser. Even when he returns, he’ll likely have to face a lot of questions about what happened on that bridge and the shootout before.
While we think they’ll eventually triumph, there will be a lot of complicated days ahead and we don’t see this getting resolved easily.
