‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Executive Producer Ken Corday Promises Shock and Awe

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that long time executive producer Ken Corday has teased all sorts of explosive storylines now that Days has been renewed for another two seasons. After all, he didn’t (almost) get down on his knees and beg for nothing!

“We are going to blow the audience away,” Corday promised, explaining that the two year extension, essentially 520 episodes, means head writer Ron Carlivati and his team have carte blanche to “do what we do best!”

And what they do best is tell stories that have fans glued to their screens for an hour each weekday, waiting to see which mask Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will whip out next, or whom will slip between the sheets with whom.

Itching to share what fans can expect, Corday can only tease, “We’re building the next nuclear bomb as we speak.”

Episodes will halt temporarily for 2 weeks when NBC airs the 32nd Olympics, starting July 23 . But when DOOL returns, Corday warns, “We’re about to knock viewers on their butts. Trust me, this will be great!”

Corday confirms that Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady) will be back and though he wouldn’t dish on the popular actress’ contract status, he assured fans they will be satisfied. “It might be time for Ben[Weston] (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara to have a little happiness!” he admitted.

However, photos of Ben and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) in full lip lock have been doing the rounds, leaving ‘Cin’ fans distressed. As Corday reminds, even happy ‘endings’ have their contentious moments, saying “When people are just looking at one another lovingly over a cup of coffee, there’s not much drama there.”

Corday was also elated to announce that Jackée Harry (Paulina Price) is now on contract. This brings excitement and much needed diversity to the canvas on a more permanent basis for the renewed seasons, something Corday says is “extremely important.”

Though there was nothing else the exec would give away storyline wise, he left one last juicy tidbit saying, “Trust me, when you see what Ron Carlivati has in store… Like I said, we are going to blow the audience away.”

We. Can’t. Wait! Watch DOOL, weekdays on NBC!
