‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ is known to toss out some “out there” storylines. Dr. Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) possession and subsequent exorcism stands out as a fan (un)favorite. Now a more recent storyline has been bugging fans for the amount of belief that is being required for them to suspend.
Lately Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has been unleashed on the good folks of Salem. Her one desire, to be close to beau, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf)–oh, and the afterthought of their daughter, Rachel–has set in motion druggings, kidnappings, blackmail, heart-break, a quicky wedding, more (failed) blackmail and a quicky divorce, a road accident and sent Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) spiraling into town drunk status. Then there’s whatever Nicole gets herself into next.

But it is the constant supply of masks that Kristen has at her disposal, extremely life-like replicas of pretty much any Salemite’s face, that is getting tedious for fans to watch.
However, a recent headline in the L.A. Times had this long time DOOL fan reaching out to head writer, Ron Carlivati with an apology. A man was arrested in Los Angeles for using a life like mask to change his identity, and race to commit a string of burglaries!
Could we have been watching a documentary, not a soap all along? Naturally, a tweet to Carlivati and his writing team, apologizing for the audible sighs and seething anger the dragged-on storyline has evoked was in order.
Of course, Carlivati, being the gentleman and the scholar he is, accepted the apology immediately.

Now the dream is to be privy to the creepy warehouse that hold Kristen’s mask stash…hmm, maybe the props department should have a poke around, see if anything is missing. The last thing Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) needs is to be arrested for committing crimes all over Los Angeles!
