‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that long-time fan favorite Bryan Dattilo who portrays Lucas Horton on the suds-fest recently revealed to Soap Opera Digest that his wife of almost 10 years, Elizabeth Cameron has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Bryan was joking around with the publication, saying the best thing about being under contract again with ‘Days of Our Lives’ was qualifying for health insurance, but then the interview took a more serious turn.
“I’m a dad with kids, and my wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last three months and it’s been a tough situation. To have the security of health insurance through it has been a godsend, I’m not going to lie.

” The forty year old went on to say, “I was joking when I said that, but in a way, it’s also true because if I wasn’t back on contract, I probably wouldn’t have had the advantages of health insurance, so for that, I am extremely grateful.”
Many American’s understand the difficulties of losing their health coverage as many lost their jobs dies to pandemic shutdowns.
Elizabeth is Bryan’s second wife and the couple will celebrate their wedding anniversary on July 12. The couple have a daughter together, Delila who was born in 2014. Bryan also has a 21 year old son, Gabe from his previous marriage who lives with his father and step-mother, Elizabeth.
It has been a tough year for Elizabeth as she lost her father, Dr. Colonel Andy Cameron, a decorated war hero and physician in January. However, they couple has a lot to look forward to this year with their 10th wedding anniversary and Bryan’s 50th birthday both happening this summer.
Here’s hoping they will be able to add cancer remission to those milestones very soon.
