While it might seem like many of the biggest stars of the daytime television world have very glamorous lives, there’s no doubt that they worry about some of the same stuff that we worry about as well.
In fact, ‘Days of Our Lives’ star Bryan R. Datillo (Lucas Horton) recently went on the record to say that he is super grateful over the fact that he is not only working full-time, but that he and his family also have health insurance thanks to his soap job. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Bryan made it no secret that he loves being on ‘Days of Our Lives’ because qualifying for health insurance is huge in his book. After all, he is a husband and father to his family.

He told the publication, “I’m a dad with kids, and my wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer in the last three months and it’s been a tough situation. To have the security of health insurance through it has been a godsend, I’m not going to lie. I was joking when I said that, but in a way, it’s also true because if I wasn’t back on contract, I probably wouldn’t have had the advantages of health insurance, so for that, I am extremely grateful. And the biggest reward is knowing that I can still do my job at a fairly high level. I don’t feel like it’s slipped that much.”
Bryan also added, “I feel like I’m getting back into my old, comfortable ways of handling the job. It’s a stressful job, and there’s a lot of pressure, and the anxiety level could increase to the point where it takes you out of the job. You have to make sure that you get past all that so you can enjoy, study, be prepared and then just fly when you’re on set. So just being back made me realize that I haven’t really lost it like I thought I did.”
