‘Counting On’ Spoilers ask: Did Anna Duggar know what Josh was into? The general consensus, is no, because Josh went to such lengths to hide his obvious child porn addiction from her.
He made linux partitions on his computer so that the covenant eyes app could not see what he was downloading and therefore could not tell Anna what on earth he was downloading, but his iPhone was a complete stoolie and sang like a canary while taking pictures of his computer on the very day that he was downloading a horrific child porn film in which an 18 month old was being abused. Which in turn, led to a 2019 raid on his car lot where the computer was that held the offending images.

Aside from Anna’s micro-meltdown last week blaming the Biden administration for her husband’s arrest (which, to quote Spock, is just illogical) she has been amazingly quiet about the whole deal and hasn’t really said anything much publicly about the whole scandal, but sources close to the family said that she was in denial and defending Josh to the family so… yeah.
There’s that. Apparently she buys Josh’s “Shady ex-con” defense, but we all know the actual truth. The thing is, there’s also the fact that if Anna says anything publicly, she might could be forced to testify in court against Josh, because any information that Josh tells Anna is considered privileged, and she doesn’t want to do that, considering the ultra conservative culture’s views on a wife’s role in the relationship.
But recently Anna posted a photo of Josh at the Duggar house playing a game of chess with his son Michael to her instastories which made people think that Josh was violating the conditions of his release at first. It was almost instantly deleted, but fortunately the photo was not brand new, the photo was actually taken 73 weeks ago but it was not reshared as an old photo, rather it was posted as a brand new one, which had social media in an uproar, if only briefly.
However, a post that Anna did only two days after the 2019 raid was a little suspect, it said, “What we believe about God’s word defines whether or not we live according to God’s word. What am I believing today?”
No one really knew what she meant by that when she posted it and until now no one really knew that the property had been raided by the FBI, so, is this post a clue that Anna had some idea as to what her husband was into? Most survivors of narcissistic abuse often have moments of clarity before they are pulled back in by their abuser.
With enough brainwashing, and heaven knows that their brand of religion relies heavily on that, Anna could probably believe Josh’s lie that he didn’t do it and some shady ex-con broke into his car lot and downloaded illegal porn on his computer. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Anna thought that the devil himself had come into Josh’s car lot and put the illegal porn on Josh’s computer, I guess we’ll find out during the trial.
