Well, this is a side of her that we certainly haven’t seen before. After television personality Courtney Stodden revealed that model Chrissy Teigen bullied her online about a decade ago, Chrissy issued an apology.
Courtney said that back in 2011, Chrissy allegedly sent her messages on Twitter, telling her to kill herself. This was during the same time that 16-year-old Courtney married actor Doug Hutchison, who was 50 at the time. Here’s what you need to know.
Chrissy recently took to her Twitter account (which she reactivated after quitting earlier this year) to admit that she felt ashamed over how she bullied Courtney in the past.

“Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls–t in front of the entire world,” Teigen wrote. “I’m mortified and sad at who I used to be.”
She added, “I was an insecure, attention seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that…is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.”
The comes after Courtney told the Daily Beast, “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.”
And while Courtney says that she accepts Chrissy’s apology and forgive her, she is yet to here from her personally.
Courtney, who is now 26, said, “But the truth remains the same, I have never heard from her or her camp in private. In fact, she blocked me on Twitter. All of me wants to believe this is a sincere apology but it feels like a public attempt to save her partnerships with Target and other brands who are realizing her ‘wokeness’ is a broken record.”
Courtney also told The Daily Beast that she had gotten bullied by plenty of other celebrities in the past. “People came out of the woodwork to beat up on a kid because she was in a situation that she shouldn’t have been in,” she said. “There were a lot of celebrities acting like playground bullies.”
