Angelina Jolie Speaks On How Her Latest Role Has ‘Been Very Healing’ For Her
The Hollywood actress is set to star in her upcoming project entitled, ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead.’ In the movie, Angelina plays Hannah Faber who has been suffering from post-traumatic stress order. This was because her son had witnessed a murder, and she took it upon herself to make sure that he was protected from those looking to silence him from speaking out as a witness.
In an interview, Angelina revealed how the role became very therapeutic for her. She said: “I am drawn to people who have been through something and are broken and then find their way forward and overcome it. [Her character has] been very healing for me.” And when we look at the star’s life, it is hard not to see why.
She has been embroiled in a long divorce battle with her ex-lover Brad Pitt. The duo initially got together after meeting on a movie set for the film: Mr and Mrs Jones. Just as her current film opened up the harsh realities of life for Angelina, that film brought her closer to what she presumed to be the love of her life.
Although she would go on to share many happy memories, including the children that they had looked after together, it left her with more heartache than happiness. In a previous interview that she had given to British Vogue, we can see the similarities between Angelina’s comments on her current movie compared to her personal life.
She remarked: “The past few years have been pretty hard. I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body.” But things could be about to get better. She has been very vocal about trying to enjoy her time with her children and making sure that they are prepared to be successful people in their own lives.
She added: “I’m planning on it.” Let us hope that Angelina and Brad can work things out for the betterment of their family.
