She obviously wants a re-do. There’s a new report that says Angelina Jolie is feeling pretty bitter over the fact that she now has to share custody of her six children with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
In fact, sources close to the Hollywood actress say Angie feels as though the California court system failed her by not letting her children testify in her custody battle against Brad Pitt. Here’s what you need to know.
Let’s just say that Angie is none too pleased over the fact that Brad Pitt will not only be spending more time with his kids, but will also have a say in their upbringing. Angelina reportedly shared evidence of domestic abuse by Brad Pitt that still remains under seal at the court.
Angelina Jolie Bitter That She Has To Share Joint Custody With Brad Pitt
“The custody schedule was always determined by the court,” a source familiar with the situation told us. “It’s sad that Brad’s people are gloating about a potential win when beating a system that exists to protect families and children from issues that harm their well-being is not something to brag about.
“The heart of this dispute has not been about keeping the children apart from their father, it’s been Angelina asking for care for her family,” the source added. “Her motivations have never been to deny the children a relationship with their father.”
Reports say that papers were filed asking that Judge John Ouderkirk be disqualified from the divorce case. According to the filing, Judge Ouderkirk declined to hear evidence which Jolie’s side believes is “relevant to the children’s health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case.”
In other words, he thinks that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids are way too young to be dragged in the mess that has been their custody battle and divorce.
It’s been noted that three of the Jolie-Pitt kids are minors, but a California code allows that any minors of at least 14 should be allowed to testify in court if they wish to. The oldest Pitt-Jolie child, Maddox, 19, had testified against his father.
