‘General Hospital (GH)’ spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) are being less than honest about their pregnancies. We’ve already talked about how Maxie’s especially can go wrong. But today’s episode is leading up to something that could be a big deal. Let’s take a look at what happened and what might come of it.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The plots
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal Maxie is determined to make Peter August (Wes Ramsey) think their child died to keep the baby away from him. There are a lot of possible ways for that to go south, but the groundwork has already been laid for carrying out her scheme.
Meanwhile, Brook Lynn is just pretending to be pregnant by Valentine Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). She thinks this is the perfect way to get ELQ back in the hands of her family. And we can see why she feels a sense of duty to fix the mess she helped make. Here’s the thing.
Both ladies are dealing with men they need to be cautious with. Now, we’re not saying Valentin is going to try and kill anyone, like Peter might if he learns the truth. But he won’t take it kindly, and he really shouldn’t. This was a cruel way to get what she wants, but again we can see both sides of this. But things just hit a little snag.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nosy
That snag would be Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero). She is totally against Brook Lynn using her baby as leverage, and has made that very clear. As well as the fact she thinks Brook Lynn has no clue what being a mother really is. So, we can see her being a problem going forward. At the same time, she might have given Brook Lynn a little help.
She let slip that Maxie was about to make a huge sacrifice to keep her child safe from a dangerous man, much like Olivia did. And, by the way, we loved Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) pointing out she’s not really in a place to judge Brook Lynn’s choice. Anyway, given what Olivia let slip, we think Brook Lynn will be paying Maxie a visit soon.
Brook Lynn desperately needs a real, live baby since Valentin won’t sign over the stock until the child is born. And Maxie needs a place for her baby. So, naturally, it would make sense for them to help each other out.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What could possibly go wrong?
Of course, secrets like this rarely stay secret, and the stakes are high. If either man finds out about these lies, there will be a price to pay. Particularly from Peter. This will be the ultimate betrayal, and could be the thing that would make him want to get rid of her.
Not to mention the family uproar (especially from Olivia) if they learn this baby isn’t really Brook Lynn’s. We think Maxie’s family won’t take well to this, either, should the truth come out. And we think it has to, regardless of whether or not Maxie wants the baby back after Peter’s taken out of the picture.
Then, there’s the possible consequences of a faked death. And that ELQ deal will likely be useless if there is no baby after all. They really have no clue what they’ve signed up for, and we’re just sitting here waiting for the train wreck to happen.
