ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we were never really big fans of Michelle Stafford’s Nina Reeves. This isn’t badmouthing the actress. We’ve seen some bits of her work on The Young and the Restless, and she’s so much more likeable.
We think this is more of a situation where an actor just doesn’t work for a character, and we think Cynthia Watros is definitely better suited. She brings a vulnerability and humility to Nina that was missing.
Overall, we’ve found this Nina to be very sympathetic and enjoyable. However, it looks like the character’s about to have the tables turned on her. Let’s take a look at the changing fate of Nina.

So, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Nina was very sympathetic through the big reveal about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) was totally in the wrong with this thing.
As loyal as he might feel toward Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) as the mother of his child, he was with Nina. That means that, as important as Carly will be in his life, Nina should take priority. In our opinion, only Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) well-being should be considered over Nina.
That’s what you sign up for when you’re with someone. And his secrecy led to Nina almost never learning the truth about her daughter, or that she had a grandson. So, we think Nina had every right to call them out and leave Jax.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Pushing it
However, there’s a problem. In her escape, she accidently learned Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is alive, well, and unaware of who he is. We’ve been somewhat understanding, given the huge trauma and betrayal she went through. Not to mention the way Carly behaved when Nina tried to tell her.
However, we think she should’ve told Sonny the truth. If she chooses to return home and try to connect with his past, that’s his business. If he chooses to stay in Nixon Falls and not bother, that’s on him as well. But she should have given him a choice.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Shoe’s on the other foot
What’s all this mean? ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal the shoe is now on the other foot. Jax showed up in town to try and tell her about what he’d done to help make things right. Unfortunately for her, he ended up getting shot in a robbery while there and he’s seen Sonny as they were loading Jax in the ambulance.
According to teasers, he says Sonny’s name, so there is no doubt he’ll pursue this. At least, in our mind. We just don’t see him buying a “must have been a hallucination” thing.
So, it’s very likely Jax will learn the whole truth. Now, Nina is the one wondering if Jax will want her back. She’s the one who’ll likely be judged for her choice to keep a secret, and we guess karma has to come calling sometime.
It should be interesting to see if Nina will continue to be as repentant as she seems, or if she’ll go on the defensive again. Especially if Jax comes down on her too hard.
We honestly see that being the case, with how protective he is of Carly. Get ready, because it seems like we’re in for a rehash of the original fight. We’ll see what side Sonny takes.
It’s possible he might actually go a bit easy on her, given what Nina shared about the situation and her fight with Carly. Which we think will upset Carly and cause even more reason for tensions for the reunited couple.
