‘90 Day: The Single Life’ turned out to be an apt title for a show starring 90 Day Fiancé alum, Colt Johnson. It seems if Colt is not betrothed within 90 days since his last engagement he spontaneously combusts.
It is no surprise Colt is onto engagement number (almost) three…and that’s just since he first appeared on our screens, engaged to Brazilian firecracker Larissa Dos Santos Lima in 90 Day Fiancé season 6.

While he and his next Brazilian girlfriend Jess Caroline, whom he began to date 6 months post his divorce from Larissa, didn’t quite get engaged, he did ask her father for her hand. We say that counts.
Now that fans are watching engagement number three play out, they can be forgiven for being slightly cynical about how this one will go.
Vanessa’s lukewarm response to her boyfriend popping the question certainly didn’t help to generate excitement in fans and Colt’s oh-so-sweet, “We’re going to have problems throughout our entire life” truth bomb was certainly not necessary for what should have been the most romantic day of their lives. You save that kind of logic for year 2 of marriage at the earliest, bro!
While this engagement happened in November in real life (the same month Vanessa’s divorce was finalized) it was only played out last week in reel-life. Colt and Vanessa Guerra are now finally able to show off their engagement photos. However, the pair did not quite receive the response they hoped.
Sharing photos from a spread in US Weekly on his Instagram page garnered Colt comments like “Colt hands out engagement rings like candy”, “I’m already curious to see who the fourth will be”, “I bet she can’t wait to move in with your Mom” and others just asking if Vanessa was pregnant- whether this was a dig at Vanessa’s physique or fans believing this is a shotgun wedding, I’m not sure.
Big Ed Brown, a co-star of Colt and Vanessa’s on the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off also only gives the union 6 months, which apparently infuriates Colt’s sMother, Debbie at the 90 Day: The Single Life Tell All. Big Ed told US Weekly, “His mom almost, like, wanted to jump out of her chair and smack me around.”
It’s good to know his Mom will always have Colt’s back, though it has been reported that Debbie, too, was surprised at the speed of the engagement.
Lucky for Vanessa, Debbie actually likes her son’s pick this time, but, just we are sure Colt is frighteningly co-dependent, we’re sure sMother Debbie find something to disapprove of about Vanessa soon enough!
