Vanderpump Rules find than fans had many months to get used to the idea, but still no one could truly believe that Jax Taylor, the ‘bad-boy’ man-child Sur bartender who rose to rapid fame on the reality series would soon be a dad.
Well, hell froze over yesterday, Monday April 12 when Brittany Cartwright, Jax’s Vanderpump co-star and wife of almost two years gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby boy named Cruz.

Brittany, 31, posted the first photo of the new family on her Instagram with the caption: “Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible. Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love. He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. ? We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! ???- Both Mommy & Baby are doing great!”
41-year old new dad, Jax posted the same photo on his Instagram with a gushing caption about Dade mode kicking in as soon as he met the “most beautiful son a man could ask for.
” Jax spoke of the tears in his eyes as he wrote his post and congratulated Brittany for doing “an absolute amazing job all the way till the end.” He described how he fell in love with his wife all over again.
Between announcing their pregnancy and Cruz’s birth, the couple exited the reality series that made them household names, still currently on hiatus. While Brittany and Jax claim they left on their terms, other stories claim Jax was fired and Brittany left in solidarity of her husband.
Whatever the reason was for the pair’s departure, we know that things will look very different the next time the Vanderpump past and present cast get together. It has been baby-palooza this year for several Vanderpump alum.
In January OG Stassi Schroeder and husband Beau Clark gave birth to a girl- Hartford and last month Lala Kent and fiancé Randall Emmett also added baby girl Ocean to the family. Randall has two daughters to a previous marriage.
There is still one baby from the Vanderpump universe to come. Scheana Shay is expecting her rainbow baby with boyfriend Brock Davies. Scheana is due later this month.
