Nick Viall has downplayed the fears that The Bachelor franchise will be scrapped very soon.

‘The Bachelor’: Nick Viall Is Confident That The Show Will Continue

Speculation has been running rife ever since the conclusion of Matt James’ season, as the show seems to have been deserted by the loyal fanbase. Even the show’s former star, Blake Horstmann, was confident that the series would be ending soon. And yet, Nick does not see it that way. In an appearance on his Viall Files podcast, he said: “I don’t think it’s going anywhere.

“Any talk of, ‘Oh, let’s just get rid of the show’ — they answer that by adding another season.” The show has, for its part, attempted to move on from the recent scandals it has gone through. Tayshia Adams has been brought onto The Bachelorette, and she has been accompanied by Kaitlyn Bristowe, who will act as a co-host. However, fans have continued to hold some reservations, much to the bemusement of Nick.

He added: “People talk about casting on the show. I know what their casting process is. They spend way more money and have a way more intense screening process than any other reality TV show out there.” Having said that, there is the natural question of why did they cast Rachael Kirkconnell? Her scandal only went on to divide the fans further, but Nick did have a defence for the franchise.

He continued: “You look at the Rachael K. situation. Some of her problematic situations didn’t come from her social. It came from someone else’s social. It doesn’t in any way make what Rachael did OK, but..it’s not because they are deliberately doing it.” One decision that may come back to haunt the producers is Chris Harrison’s departure. The response to it was very divisive, as a subset of fans believed an apology would have sufficed.

And Nick admitted that the show might find it hard to replace him. He noted: “There’ll be parts I am sure where you miss Chris’ professionalism and traditional hosting experience where it looks a little sloppy, but maybe people will enjoy that authenticity.” We will have to see what the future holds. It all depends on how Chris’ replacements perform.
