Sylvester Stallone made quite the splash when his name made it around the internet this week. It was said that the ‘Rocky’ actor and Palm Beach resident had joined Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago club. The headline made its way around multiple news sources but today on Instagram, Stallone said that it was untrue.
He continued that he meant no disrespect to anyone, he simply wasn’t a member. Stallone added a photo of one of the headlines from last week and said that it had never happened. Take a look at his caption below and use the link to view the full post.

Of course, there was a lot of discourse in the comments between fans and others arguing what the story was about. Some thought it was a slant towards Trump while others found it fantastic that Stallone “hated” Trump.
If you look at it objectively, it just looks like Stallone wanted to bring up the fact that he wasn’t a member, with “no disrespect to anyone”. From my perspective, a story was going around about Stallone that wasn’t true and he wanted to squash it.
It doesn’t appear to have anything to do with Trump, of course, Trump is such a big talking (or arguing) point that people just take off with the name with disregard to anything else.
