Princess Eugenie Is Clearly On Team Prince Harry – Supports Her Cousin Ahead Of Prince Philip’s Funeral

Princess Eugenie is that solid friend and family member that you clearly want on your side – always. There’s a new report that says Eugenie was the first member of the royal family to meet with Prince Harry upon his arrival back to the UK and ahead of their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday.

Prince Harry will attend his grandfather’s funeral, but his wife, Meghan Markle, has decided to stay home in California.

With Meghan back at home, it’s a good thing that he has Eugenie by his side, as this is going to a rather awkward, if not also painful family reunion seeing how it’s the first time Harry is coming face to face with everyone after his and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah last month.

Princess Eugenie Is Clearly On Team Prince Harry – Supports Her Cousin Ahead Of Prince Philip’s Funeral

According to reports, Harry has met with Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their newborn baby August at Frogmore Cottage. Harry flew into London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday and is currently quarantining at Frogmore in accordance with UK rules ahead of Philip’s funeral on Saturday.

As far as his other family members are concerned – including his father Prince Charles and his brother Prince William – Harry might wait until the day of the funeral to see them, seeing how things are quite icy between the trio right now.

As many royal fans know by now, Prince Philip was the first male royal consort since Queen Victoria’s time in the 1800s — and the longest-serving consort in British history.

Sources say that Prince Philip‘s long-standing funeral plans had been adapted to respect certain coronavirus restrictions, with all the usual elements that involve contact with the public removed.

Current Covid rules in England limit the number of people who can attend funerals to 30. It’s also been noted that his coffin will be carried by a Land Rover from Windsor Castle to St. George’s Chapel for the ceremony.

All senior members of the royal family are expected to attend Prince Philip’s funeral at Windsor Castle amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a service at St. George’s Chapel — where Harry and Meghan wed in 2018.
