Rachel Uchitel’s Accent Changed When She Dated PK Kemsley
In an interview on the NoFilter podcast, Rachel stated how her love for PK had taken control of her. She said: “His personality just won me over and then out of nowhere — I was just like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m in love with this guy.’ How did that happen? And it was funny because I started to talk with an accent! His accent really gets to you … When you’re around him, you speak with an accent!”
Pk, for his part, is now with Dorit Kemsley– the star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But PK certainly left an impression on Rachel, given that she still has fond memories of him. The duo had dated in 2015, but things failed to materialise into something more, despite the positive signs. And clearly, there is some regret on Rachel’s part.
In a previous interview with the Los Angeles Times, she said: “He was a bottle service customer. Listen, he’s got a great personality. He broke me down. He was just a friend for a year, and then I totally fell in love with him. I know it sounds crazy. I fell head over heels.” But PK’s accent did not only influence Rachel. The same could be said of that with Dorit.
Given that PK is British, Dorit has started to see her accent change, even though she is from Connecticut. In an interview with The Daily Dish, Dorit explained why her accent had changed: “I think the way I speak is probably a combination of many things. First and foremost, I am married to a Brit who’s got a very, very strong London accent, and I’m sure some of his inflections have sort of rolled over on me.”
Dorit had been accused of adopting a certain persona, but given that it has affected two people, then those worries have clearly been dispelled. While it may seem unusual, accents are not going to go out of fashion. We only have to look at Hilaria Baldwin and her Spanish accent scandal.
