It seems like only yesterday that CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers were expecting some twists and turns before the show circled back to rehash some old plot points.
We’re not surprised as they like to pump the brakes when something juicy is happening to stretch it out.
We could have a fun payoff before too long and we can’t wait.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 22: Victor’s secret
It’d be so entertaining if Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) opened up and told Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) a secret that it’d be incriminating.
But Victor’s smarter than that as Nikki has to drag anything out of if most of the time, so we think this is going to be about Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and completing their deal.
Victor will be confident that he’ll convince Ashland to honor their original agreement and that’ll show Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) who they’re messing with.
Nikki will get irritated at Victor trying to shaft one of his children once again, he’ll get defensive and do his typical chest beating as the dominant male. Rinse, repeat, promise better things.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 22: Matchmaker time
Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) is going to be busy as she tries her hand at matchmaking, which means she’ll probably be working to keep her brother, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) together.
She’s already plotting, er, working with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to find a way to keep them together, and ‘Young and the Restless’ don’t see her stopping any time soon.
Nothing like shoe horning people together without removing the thorn that’s keeping them apart.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 22: Jack defends Jabot’s honor
Now that he’s caught between Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Ashland, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would be wise to heed Victor’s previous advice about Billy and let Kyle fail.
In short, let Ashland take out everything on him and then help Kyle to pick up the pieces.
But that would be too simple and not the person Jack is.
So, Jack will do everything he can to protect Kyle and he’ll defend Jabot’s reputation up and down with Ashland before doing so with the investors and possibly going public about it.
This is going to get ugly before it gets better, but such is the life in soaps.
