CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers love starting a new week off with a bang, and that’s just what it looks like we’re going to have.
After suffering through a slow boil, we’re finally going to see some interesting moments, and this has the makings of a popcorn episode.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 5: Secret affairs
We’re getting the usual storyline where bad boy and good girl meet up when Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) meets Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in secret.
Of course, Sharon is willing to do this to find out for sure if Adam’s guilty of poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) or not, as well as thank him for saving Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Oddly enough, they may not be alone as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Rey now knows it was Adam that saved Faith, and Nick may follow Sharon to find out the truth for himself.
If he does, will he tell Rey?
‘Young and the Restless’ expect this meeting to go south pretty fast and Adam to be taken away.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 5: Kyle’s in a corner
Whelp, we’ve been waiting for it to happen, and it looks like Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)’s idiocy is going to come back and take a sizable chunk out of his backside.
Upon his returning to Genoa City, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will go after Kyle and back him into a corner.
We don’t mean this in a physical sense, though that would be interesting, but in a figurative sense as Ashland will maneuver him into a position he doesn’t want to be in.
How Kyle got there will be anyone’s guess, though we suspect her ignored Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s advice and met Ashland on his own.
This has so much potential and we really hope it doesn’t fizzle out as they’ll circle back and extend it over months with a mention here and there.
Here’s hoping this is a quicker paced story.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For April 5: Amanda has her say
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has been on the fence lately when it comes to whether she’ll help her birth mother and her family in their current legal matter.
While there is definitely a great reason for her to become involved since her grandfather allegedly killed her father, there is the possibility that she’s going to be on display as a lesson to the rest of the family.
We think this will be Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey)’s attempt to show the rest of the family Amanda belongs to take the heart off of herself, plus show off her shiny newly discovered daughter.
This will come down to if Amanda will be fine being a trophy of sorts to get to know her family or if she’d rather walk away.
Of course, it could be 100% legitimate on Naya’s part, too, and she only wants to bring Amanda into the fold and this is the best way.
It’s a tough decision and we can’t imagine the turmoil Amanda must be feeling. This could be a comfort food segment for sure as we wait to see if Amanda will tear into them or come to their aid.
