Chrissy Teigen spoke with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show about her “best” celebrity encounter, which in fact turned out to be the one she is still the most embarrassed about.
She revealed to Fallon it happened after the Golden Globes “I was drinking a lot and I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne, so I just went up and I took it and I said ‘thank you’.”
She then divulged that her husband, John Legend had to tell her that she had just taken the champagne from actor, Michael Keaton.

Fallon clarified, “It was not someone serving champagne?”
“No, it was not,” a giggling Teigen confirmed. “God, I’m so embarrassed by it still, I could die.”
Okay, we’ve all suffered an embarrassing faux pas or two, but honestly, this story just kind of made Chrissy sound very out of touch and super rude.
Who goes up and swipes a glass of champagne out of a man’s hand? I don’t care if he was tuxedo’ed up like a waiter, unless he had a tray in his hand and a tip jar on the side, this was less a gaff and more a self-involvement problem.
Chrissy has also recently shared a story about a waiter that “duped” she and John into purchasing a $13000 bottle of wine.
The tweet received a ton of backlash, mainly because the country is in the midst of a pandemic where people can’t find $13 to put towards their rent and can only dream of having thousands of dollars to drop on a sucky bottle of wine.
For her part, Chrissy never said she was trying to be relatable, but it seems she’s also not as humorous as she might think she is.
Meanwhile, Daily Pop co-host Carissa Culiner shared her embarrassing celebrity interaction that was hilarious. She’d years ago met Sophia Bush at a busy club and fan-girled all over the star as we all would have in the height of the One Tree Hill popularity.
Later Carissa grabbed her friend’s hand to drag her to the bathrooms (as girls tend to do), but after walking her through the busy club, Carissa turned around to see she was leading Sophia Bush, not her friend!
She laughed that Sophia was confused but gracious at Carissa’s mistake.
