’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that Zied Hakimi is finally getting the chance to halfway let loose with his fiance, Rebecca Parrot. Between Rebecca’s family and her very Karen-like friend that she invited over to meet Zied, Georgia doesn’t seem to have given Zied a very fair shake.
For a country that claims to be a ‘melting pot’ it seems that we only want to add those people which we understand and don’t seem ‘too foriegn’ to us, and it looks like Zied, being from a Muslim country and being in a similar situation to Rebecca’s ex, perhaps this is bringing back some warning bells to Rebecca’s family and friends, however unwarranted they may be.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Zied gets tatted up
So far, I can’t see that Zied has asked for anything other than the ability to be able to travel back home at will, but that won’t be granted for awhile due to COVID and the fact that he needs to stay married to Rebecca for awhile before he can do any traveling. (However, with the muslim country travel ban now lifted, it might be a shorter wait than we were originally thinking.)
Being Muslim, he grew up in a culture that has basically banned tatoos, but in spite of this, he actually loves the tattoos that Rebecca has, so what did she do? She went out and bought him some tatoos to match hers – no she didn’t force him to bite the bullet and drag him off to a tattoo parlor. Rather, she got him some fake tats that looked pretty convincing.
At first, Zied didn’t really seem convinced. He thought they were as permanent as Rebecca’s, I could tell, but then once she told him that they were temporary and would only last a few days, you could see the relief flood his face.
He said that he didn’t want to have to explain to his family about the tats because his culture frowns upon them so, but he also said that he didn’t want to invite any questions from Rebecca’s family, which just made me kind of sad.
He’s in a country that doesn’t look down upon tats, and because Rebecca’s family doesn’t trust him, he doesn’t want them to think that he’s walking around spending Rebecca’s money by getting tattoos, even though it’s clear that Rebecca just wanted to give him a gift that would make him feel more comfortable in the states.

Hopefully, one day Rebecca’s family can dial back their xenophobia and learn that just because someone is from a similar country and culture doesn’t mean that they’re one and the same. Stay tuned!!!
