Twitter Fans Blast David Letterman Over The Manner Of His Previous Interview With Lindsay Lohan

David Letterman has come under increasing scrutiny after his old interview with Lindsay Lohan on The Late Show has gone viral prompting an increasing set of fans to fire back at David.

Twitter Fans Blast David Letterman Over The Manner Of His Previous Interview With Lindsay Lohan

The interview in question occurred in 2013, and it focused on Lindsay’s past substance issues. In the interview, he is continually asking Lindsay some probing questions: “Aren’t you supposed to be in rehab? , “What are they rehabing? What is on their list? What are they going to work on when you walk through the door?”

Clearly flustered by it all, Lindsay is heard saying: “You can’t make a joke of it. That’s so mean. You can’t do that, it’s my show now.” Naturally, this sparked up the interest of fans who fired shots at the talk show host and defended Lindsay. One fan tweeted:

“This is vile on so many levels. The misogyny. The blindsiding. The stigma of addiction & rehab. The hypocrisy of wanting people to recover, but then judging how they choose [to] do so. I hope Lindsay Lohan knows how loved she is. The world has treated her and so many others so unfairly.”

Another fan added: “This clip is horrifying in so many ways, but one thing that stuck out to me is it is the perfect example of when women try to politely advocate for themselves in a way that society would hopefully deem ‘not bitchy’ and yet they get steamrolled and ignored.”

A final fan did not hold anything back: “Everyone really did wrong by Lindsay, Paris [Hilton], Britney [Spears] and Megan Fox. It’s pretty sad to look back now to see how poorly they were treated.” However, things have changed since then as Lindsay has flourished. Her business partner, Panos Spentzos, recently said:

“Everybody has this idea that Lindsay goes out all the time. That’s not her. Her normal life standard is staying at home. She cooks this recipe called borscht, that is delicious. She introduced the series Pose to me, and we watched the whole thing in two days. We’re like family.”

It is good to see Lindsay doing well and let us hope this resurfaced interview does not have a negative impact.
