Joseph Wakile has spoken on why his cousin’s Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga were not present during his sister’s (Victoria Wakile) wedding.

In a post on Instagram, Joseph made a blunt comment on their absence: “Lmao, we cut those farm animals out of our life years ago. That’s why they weren’t in attendance.” There was speculation that the absence may have been due to covid guidelines, but Joseph’s comments put that to bed. Victoria did reveal, however, that all safety protocols had been followed. She said:
“Given the times we are living in, it’s important to know things are in place for health and safety which are #1 priority with protocols, which were created with CDC guidelines and NJ local and state ordinances. Temperature checks, hand sanitizer, is provided to each guest and offer sanitizing stations in several areas of the venue.”
Melissa, for her part, has made it known that she has no relationship with Victoria’s mother, Kathy. In a previous interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she said: “Honestly, I feel like because we entered the show together and I stayed and [Kathy] was no longer on the show, she just felt like everyone should have helped her to stay on, I don’t know. It was, like, a lot of hard feelings after that. It caused a little tension.”
And Kathy has expressed similar feelings: “Well, to be quite honest, my life revolved a lot more and not only about the show, and theirs is about the show. When I say show, I don’t mean just show, TV show. Now, you know, people’s true colours come out. [She] has her version, and I have the truth.” But the family issues extend beyond Melissa but also to Teresa Giudice.
And given by Teresa’s past comments, there is no chance of reconciliation: “There was a time when I had a relationship with Kathy and Rosie. They haven’t treated me well, and I don’t want that around.” As for Kathy, it is the same story: “She [Teresa] made her position quite clear. I’ve made my position quite clear that I’d try, and my life is very full. So, I’m not going to waste my time with trying to make something work that isn’t going to work.”
